Dare yourself to partake in some adventure and bike downhill in one of the highest active volcanoes in the world.
Departing Quito early in the morning, and after driving south for an hour and a half on the Pan-American Highway, we’ll reach the Cotopaxi National Park entrance. We will drive through a pine forest and soon reach the Park’s museum. After visiting the museum we drive to the Limpiopungo Lake located at 3.800 m where we start a hike around this stunning area to observe birds and the magnificent Cotopaxi Volcano.
With your helmets, gloves and 1- speed mountain bike, the adventure can begin. We’re going to bike on dirt roads through volcanic ash and an icy landscape for about 30 kilometers with any luck we might be able to see a Condor or a Caracara bird.
After lunch, we’ll continue the biking adventure to conclude the trip in the outskirts of National Park.
