FULL DAY TOUR
The day starts early in Quito, where you will be met and driven just one hour away to the picturesque farm near Sincholagua , in the \ foothills, where all the horses are kept. Your bilingual guide will introduce you to your carefully selected horse and accompanying ‘chagra’ (local Ecuadorian horseman), dressed in his traditional poncho and chaps. Once riders are comfortable and happy with their horses we will leave the enclosed area and head into the Valley and the Park.
The ride begins by winding through the nearby hamlet, where you can enjoy views of the rolling Andean hillsides and observe families going about their colorful daily life. After passing a beautiful country estate, and stud farm, depending on riding ability the ride can gather pace, enjoying long canters across lush meadows and negotiating more challenging pathways through denser vegetation before climbing to higher altitudes. There you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding peaks including Ruminahui, Pasachoa, Sincholagua and the mighty snow-capped volcano Cotopaxi, over a relaxing picnic lunch taken from your saddle bags and provided.
