Day 1: Quito and the Middle of the World Monument

Enjoy a City tour in Quito to explore this beautiful colonial capital city. Lunch. In the afternoon visit the Middle of the World. Overnight in Quito.

Day 2: Otavalo Market

Expedition trip to Otavalo, visit the most famous market in Ecuador and the lake district of the northern Andes. Return to your hotel in the afternoon. Overnight in Quito.

Day 3: Cotopaxi and Baños

Early in the morning depart from Quito through the “Avenue of the Volcanoes”. Visit the Cotopaxi National Park and the surrounding areas. In the afternoon we will enjoy a local lunch and we will continue to Baños. Night activities can include Tungurahua Volcano observation, watching how the night is illuminated by pyroclastic eruptions. Overnight in Baños.

Day 4: Baños to Riobamba

After breakfast you will go to visit the route of the waterfalls, to see the Devil’s Cauldron one of the 10 most beautiful waterfalls in the world. Time for lunch and time to visit the city. Continue to Riobamba and arrival late in the afternoon. Overnight in Riobamba

Day 5: Train to the Devil`s Nose and Incan ruins in Ingapirca

Early in the morning, we will be taking the Trans-Andean train down to Alausi, destination: The “Devil’s Nose”, to enjoy breathtaking views. Continue by vehicle to Ingapirca (Ecuador’s most important archaeological site from the pre-Incan period). Travel to Cuenca for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Cuenca

Walking city tour in Cuenca. Visit the factory of the famous Panama’ hats. Lunch. In the afternoon visit the city of Chordeleg, famous for its great jewelry and Gualaceo. Overnight stay in Cuenca.

Day 7: Return to Quito or continue your trip

After breakfast, return to Quito or continue to Guayaquil for post extension tour to Galapagos Islands, the coast or the jungle.
