The process of evolution, the climate, the marine currents and the relative lack of predatory enemies made this archipelago one of the most rare and valuable places on the earth. In fact, the organisms that survived evolved and became the unique species that are found only in this place.

Fearless blue-footed boobies share their territory with sea-lions, dolphins and penguins, while cactus spread from lunar-like surfaces among rare plants, some of them being food for the world-famous Galapagos turtles who move among Palo Santo trees at the pace of evolution.
