► MT 106 COTOPAXI NATIONAL PARK (2 days, 1 night)

Day 1: Cotopaxi National Park Tour takes you to the Cotopaxi Volcano, the highest active volcano in the world!

In the morning Marite Tour takes you south, through the “Avenue of the Volcanoes,” to the Cotopaxi National Park. Before arriving to the Cotopaxi National Park, you will visit Cotopaxi's surrounding areas known as “paramos” (Highlands).

Upon arrival to Cotopaxi, you will visit The Limpiopungo valley. If the weather is favorable, an ascent to the Cotopaxi Volcano's refuge, just below the glaciers, is possible.

In the afternoon, enjoy a local lunch at a Colonial Hacienda near Cotopaxi where you will spend the night.

Day 2: In the morning, after breakfast, Marite Tour staff will take you to the Indian village of Zumbahua and its lake Volcano The “Quilotoa.”

Lake Quilotoa is the most beautiful lake in Ecuador. In the afternoon return to Quito.

MT 108 MINDO VALLEY (1 day)

Mindo is located in the northwest of Quito.

At Mindo you can find sub-tropical vegetation and is home of 300 species of birds including hummingbirds, which are the most beautiful species of birds.

At Mindo there are also a great variety of butterflies and abundant flora.

Mindo can be a good alternative if your time is not enough to visit Ecuador's Amazon region.

Flower lovers will be amazed by the wild orchids at Mindo.

Marite Tour will take you to the butterfly and orchid conservatory and a beautiful waterfall of crystal clear water.

MT 109 AWAKENING IN THE ANDES (4 days / 3 nights)

Come and enjoy an unforgettable journey through the Ecuadorian Andes.

Day 1: In the morning you will go south, through the “Avenue of the Volcanoes,” to the Cotopaxi National Park and surrounding areas.

In the afternoon, the Andes tour takes you to Riobamba, where you will spend the night at a Colonial Hacienda.

Day 2: Early in the morning after breakfast, you will experience the Trans-Andean train. You will ride on top of the Trans-Andean train down to Alausi via the “Devil’s Nose” to enjoy the breath taking views.

Continue by vehicle to Ingapirca (Ecuador’s most important archaeological site from the pre-Inca period). Next, you will go to Cuenca for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Marite Tour gives you the opportunity to explore and discover Cuenca by the city tour.

In Cuenca, you will visit the famous Panama Hat museums and factories. Also, you will visit the finest pottery workshops in Cuenca.

Free afternoon and overnight in Cuenca.

Day 4: After breakfast, return to Quito or continue to Guayaquil for extension tours to the Galapagos Islands, the Pacific Coast or Ecuador's Jungle.

Optional: Return to Quito by airplane.



MT 110 BAÑOS, The gateway to Ecuador's Jungle! (2 days)

Day 1: Marite Tour takes you south, through the “Avenue of the Volcanoes,” to the colorful city of Baños.

The city of Baños lies near the Tungurahua Volcano.

In Baños, you will explore the city and its surroundings. Overnight in Baños.

Day 2: In the morning, you will have a choice to continue your trip by bike or by chiva (an open bus from the coast).

You can bike down on the route of the waterfall to see the Devil´s Caldron, one of the 10 most beautiful waterfalls in the world, or, if you do not want to bike, you can take the Chiva in which you can travel on the top to appreciate all the waterfalls.

Return to Quito in the afternoon.
