MT 503 CANOPY TOUR – COTOPAXI REGION (2 nights/1day)

 

Day 1:

In the morning you will go from Quito to the Cotopaxi Region where you will reach the Hacienda El Provenir. Hacienda El Provenir is a typical hacienda of the Andes. You will have time to visit the Hacienda and to enjoy a warm welcome.

After the warm welcome, you will choose the activity that you prefer, which are:

• Horse backriding to the highlands until 4200 m (13773ft).
• Hike to the Pucara del Salitre, which is a beautifull Inca Fortress.
• Visit the Cotopaxi National Park, where the highest active volcano on Earth - the Cotopaxi Volcano - is located.

During the route, in any activity, you will appreciate the wonderfull landscape of the Andes and you will have the opportunity to take the best pictures of the Cotopaxi Volcano, Ruminahui Volcano an Sincholagua Volcano.

Lunch time, you will enjoy a traditional dish of the region in the Hacienda el Porvenir.

On the afternoon, you will hike to the El Manto Blanco Waterfall. In the route you will enjoy Ecuador's Andean landscape and the way of living of the people in the Cotopaxi region. Stayover in the Hacienda.

Day 2:

In the morning, after breakfast, you will transfer to the Hacienda Santa Rita, which is part of a big Natural Reserve in the area of the Cotopaxi Volcano.

At the Hacienda Santa Rita you will prepare your equipment to live the most wild experience.

A CANOPY Tour will give you the opportunity of crossing the canyon EL Salto from one side to the other side using safe cables of 180 to 350 meters. You will also cross the river and some forest up to 30 meters. This safe and fun adventure will give you a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the Cotopaxi Region.

After a nice pic-nic in the Cotopaxi National Park Reserve, you will return to Quito.
